The Ropewalker and the Spectators
Handsome amazing ropewalker high up in the air –
what supple soles and the tips of his toes – marvel
stylish steady with his yellow umbrella – like
a halo supposedly – with two three chairs
held by his teeth with many balls and rings
up and down in his hands Handsome truly
high up there above the spectator’s chairs above
the rose bushes trees lamps of the Garden
then amid the clapping when he collected
his tools with such a strange calm while at
the same time he bowed indifferently – the balls
in their cases same with the rings Silent Lastly
he closed his yellow umbrella Now the rope is around
