Emptiness

They were paralyzed and walked were blind and saw

the hospital was emptied – other times so full of action

so full of glasses bed sheets bowls ringing of bells

yearning despair anger Completely empty Now

the white beds lined up The silent hallways

as though the general manager was killed In the operating room

emptiness lies motionless with closed eyes pretending to be

the last injured who was left behind While the five black wet

umbrellas remain in the change rooms alone and austere
