Dog


Suddenly, so spoiled, caressed,
well cared for
with vaccines administered.

At the slightest symptom,
I’m being taken for a consultation.
The pampering yet increases
the pitiful voices
seeking my comfort
and exquisite care.

I have no other choice
but to show joy,
happy and grateful,
canine loyalty.

When I was a poor pup,
I begged in the streets
seeking for scraps.

Ο ΣΚΥΛΟΣ

Τελικά με κακομάθανε με χάδια

και φροντίδες

και με ενέσεις για τα νοσήματα

με το παραμικρό με τρέχουν στο γιατρό

για συμβουλές και χάπια

και υπερβολικά με θωπεύουν

και προσπαθούν με λόγια

και με προσοχή

για να περνώ καλά.

Δεν έχω άλλη επιλογή

παρά χαρά να δείχνω

κι υποταγή σκυλίσια.

Σαν ήμουνα μικρό σκυλάκι

ικέτευα σ’ όλα τα στενά

για μια μπουκιά φαί.
