GLARE
Nothing could resist
the noon August sun that
set on fire the thick air, the roofs.
We drank pop at the café and
our concerns buzzed like dizzy flies
up to the moment
when Stella appeared
on the opposite window.
She had two triangular pieces
of sunshine on her calico underarms.
