Autobiography

People I never met gave me my blood and

            my name.

It snows in my old age, it snows constantly.

A movement as if I tried to protect myself from

a blow: I thirsted for the whole life, yet I left it

just to grasp the gigantic wings of eternity.

My flesh resembles a bandage over the void

of my tomorrow; no one can help my pain other

than my pain; I’m here amongst you, all alone

with poetry: the great truth which you discover

              after many years

when it can’t be of any use to you anymore.

My profession: the unachievable.
