NOISE
There is too much noise in the world,
too much –
the poets are confused by the noise.
Uninvited noise strikes them in the shadows,
Beheading the images,
the voice of a thief that sneaks through the window
stomping on stuff heavily,
bouncing on the eardrums, nerves,
tears,
dust-noise, beasts, fight, slandering,
smoke, scream, latch, vomiting noise, –
noise, noise, noise,
nails, thorns and a tree
on which silence lies down
with a wounded palm.
