Translucent
Come, now, look at the splendour
of the wintry light, whitish,
rigid falling upon leafless
branches, water-translucent
leading to darkness
come now look at stolen glances
from behind omnipotent
window shutters sealed, firm
against north winds, girly eyes
amazed at the beauty
of loneliness and first frost,
widened irises billowing smoke
from concurring chimney
allowing air to pass through
come now look at the wisdom
of wintry light, whitish,
rigid spreading over the lake
water disturbed by lone loon
eternally moving, seeking
arrogant spring forthcoming
mate the glitter of silvery light
reflecting upon ribs of tree trunks
come now look at our deserted
dwelling, void of warmth, rigid
enduring patience of Chronos
passing as our years accumulate
upon stooping backs nothing
stops decay forthcoming, ending
long ago lost dreams of youth
that you and I shall never share again.
