Eulogy

The chant of the chorus
enters your eardrums
through the window shutters like
a soothing breeze when
the melancholic clock ticks
its sounding epode
of reaching lustful
consummation such as
the rhapsodic bursting
of the three cyclamen’s voices
singing in euphony
before the north wind roars
its thirst for petals and symphonic
voices keep silent and hear
the cosmos mourning two hymens
returning their antiphony
with an aria amid the broken
sunray when the angry teeth
of the wind gnaw white petals
and little eardrums of one singer
staying to witness solitude
of the tempest and its roar when
the killer’s hand sheds regretful
tears for the magnolia flowers
and the talk behind the fence
save this movement
of a teardrop on the sunlit
green floor or a petal shedding
life for another season
say,
save this moment for your older years
will you ever witness such beauty again
