Gala
I’ll also have fun for one night
Come dressed in black, my pale friends
come to my orchard tonight
that in one pulse we shall live
this heavy evening together
the stars shiver onto the sky
eyes blink before the tears flow
the world of the trees rustles
a spring weeps further down the road
from the houses now silent
though they spoke of death in the past
the horrified moon pulls away
its silvery fingers
sad evening tonight
though we should celebrate
we who have tears in our eyes
and Hades lurking in our bodies
counters await for us and
when the first rose will shine upon
the edge of sky and dawn will lean
onto our darkened tears
it will reflect its faint gleam.
And we shall stand awed
and each will recant his pain
while sorrowfully we’ll all listen.
I’ll narrate something delicate and nice
surrounded by sullen faces
I’ll find the proper words
that have never been said before.
Come dressed in black, my pale friends
come to my orchard tonight
that in one pulse we shall live
this heavy evening together.
