…went to the workshop and hid behind wood piles waiting for the
teacher to come back. True enough he did and had his prey along
with him: the same Indian girl he violated a few days ago. He
did exactly what he had done before but when he placed himself
between the legs of the girl both Anton and George stood up
and shouted at him.
Mr. Wilson froze. He couldn’t utter a word. Anton with
George grabbed the girl and placing her behind them they confronted
the violator who stood there panicky and unable to say
or do anything. Anton turned the light on and yelled from the
top of his lungs so the sleeping priests and nuns would wake up;
needless to say that in a few minutes all five priests and five nuns
were in the hallway where Anton and George were holding Mr.
Wilson and the Indian girl.
“This man sexually abused this girl; we caught him in the
act,” Anton said in one breath to all.
Father Jerome was stunned by the unexpected revelation.
He stood in his bed attire pondering how to deal with such a
calamity and how to work around it, if possible to avoid interrogations
and the involvement of the RCMP. Then as if taking
control of his own hesitation and as if he felt ready to unburden
himself from the fear of what might come along he declared that
the School will take care of things. For now, he addressed the
guilty party,
“Mr. Wilson you’re fired; we’ll notify you of further
actions the administration of this School might take,” and with
that he finished the short affair.
“We’d like to make sure the authorities get involved in
this and he’d be punished to the full extent of the law,” George
the cook underlined.
