Before Time Changes Them
They were terribly sorry when they separated.
Neither of them wants it; it was the circumstances.
The need to survive made one of them
go far away to New York or Canada.
Their love, however, was not the same as before,
their attraction had gradually diminished,
the attraction had diminished a lot.
But to separate, they didn’t want that.
It was the circumstances. Or perhaps Destiny
appeared as an artist, separating them now
before their feelings disappeared, before Time changed them.
So each for the other will remain forever
that twenty-four-year-old, handsome young man.
