Poem by George Theoharis
JUSTICE
She died after a long life at the old folk’s home of the Diocese. Her step daughter buried her in her place of birth away from which they have lived for many years. She buried her next to her second husband who died at a young age. She never enjoyed her first husband. He was killed a newlywed during the occupation years. Just before the casket was covered by soil her step daughter emptied in the burial site the bones of the killed husband which she had taken from the bone apothecary of the church. “Let all three of them be together; my mother got married to them because she fell in love with both of them”
