Among the Lost
He always searches He doesn’t find He searches Not
that he lost something – among all that’s lost – something
he needs
or something that someone else needs and he should go
on a set deadline to a specified spot
and place it under the flowerpot or by the lip
of the stone frog in the garden pond with the air pump at dusk
when three children of the owner force
the little daughter of the garden keeper to stay lying
behind the tall chrysanthemums pretending
to be dead until the moon rises behind the hill
