Poem by Gesthemani Sideridis
I WAITED
It was calm in the island
the moon hanged from the sky
red fluid poured in the black sea
calm moon and calm sea
calm boats, motionless
I held the little umbrella in one hand
the red light was afraid
in my other hand a green anchor
and I stood on the silent rock
I was also calm like the rock
and I waited
for the wave to bring you back
the sea was also calm
