…I smiled at her; we glanced at each other many times while we
were having the little chit-chat with our other halves while the server
made every effort to create a pleasant atmosphere for us and all other
customers of the restaurant. After taking our order, Charalambos
walked over to their table and provided his services as time flowed
slowly and beautifully with the Goddess eyeing the surroundings and
turning her eyesight from place to place, she never missed an opportunity
to look my way and make my time as pleasant and as smooth
as I wished it to be. I noticed she enjoyed a plateful of spinach salad
in front of her while her unimportant other half indulged in a plate
of pasta. I had a salad too, a Greek salad that is, without feta cheese, I
never liked feta, and a side dish of green beans cooked in the casserole,
while my wife enjoyed her chicken souvlaki with fried potatoes and a
small side salad.
Then, as if from nowhere, I called Charalambos and offered to
both Euterpe and her insignificant boyfriend a round of what they
were drinking, a gesture quite customary in Crete, to which the server
smiled and went to get their drinks. A couple of minutes later, he
walked to their table, placed the round of drinks on it and informed
them who offered them the drinks. The beautiful Muse turned, along
with her insignificant other half and smiling, they thanked and
cheered to both of us.
I also noticed two tables to our left, the old French couple having
their lunch while, thank you, Lord, they were fully dressed, enough
that we saw her hanging tits and his hanging balls while at the beach,
he turned and recognized us; he raised his water glass and cheered to
our health, to which I too raised my glass and cheered.
Many people were in the restaurant at this time of day. Mostly
people from the beach who had left their long chairs and their towels
same as we had done, and all of us, one table at a time, after we had our
food and enjoyed our drinks, got up and headed down to the sandy
beach to enjoy the hot afternoon sun, and this was the way my wife
and I spent our days at the Phaedra, except for the beautiful Iryna,
the Ukrainian girl whose name I found out later that afternoon…
