Shut Out the Perseids

…We were lying on the grassed bed, on the mattress, with no bed-sheets, with the sky for a ceiling and the forest for a room and the falling stars to rain on us to make fresh of the heat of the day and of our souls and bodies.
I said to you, “when my body aches more than my soul I want you to start the motorcycle and speeding I want you to let me fly off it as we go by a corner of the road…promise me that!”
But you didn’t answer.
I know you wake up at night when I talk in my sleep. Even if you don’t tell me what I say in my sleep. I see it in your eyes.
And I have the words in my tongue like bitter coffee sediments every morning.
Now I know why you don’t get me up when you go in the morning. And why you stopped kissing my lips but you only kiss my forehead before you go to sleep at night.
Tonight I don’t want the meteor shower dive in my soul. I don’t want to stay up.
If you see a scarecrow by the seashore, don’t be afraid of it. I put it together using cloths of my old life the one I want to forget but I can’t shake off my skin like the shirt of Hercules.
Listen to the sea, it will talk to you.
Today, I’ll ask it to do my talk in sleep.
As if the night flower and the honeysuckle have made me dizzy.
