Away
Away from city fuss
and fast food restaurants
behind the graceful maple picking
her leaves one by one staring
at them as if gazing on days
in your future with all their angles
turns and their antithesis wishing
that after you pluck off all her fans
one by one like your passing years
through time’s hands you remain
like the maple totally undressed
ready for Hades who approaches
smiling and his red arms stretched open
for you like a naked maple
