Εδώ, στην ακαταστασία της κάμαρας,
ανάμεσα στα σκονισμένα βιβλία
καΙ στα γεροντικά πορτραίτα,
ανάμεσα στο ναι και στο όχι τόσων σκιών,
μια στήλη ασάλευτο φως,
εδώ, σ’ αυτή τη θέση
πούχες γδυθεί μια νύχτα.

between the dusty books
and the old people’s portraits,
between the yes and the no of so many shadows,
one band of motionless light,
