Ενστικτώδεις αντιδράσεις
Είναι άνθρωποι στοχαστικοί, μέ πολλή πείρα. Σωπαίνουν. Είναι άλλοι
κρατούν στό χέρι τους ένα παιδιάστικο παιγνίδι πλαστικό ή ένα λουλούδι
ή μιά σπασμένη κιθάρα ή τό παλιό ρολόι τού τοίχου. Άλλοι πάλι
κρατάνε μιά τανάλια μ’ ένά ύφος σά νά θέλουν νά σού βγάλουν
τά πιό γερά σου δόντια. Αλλά κι αυτοί κι εκείνοι κάθε τόσο
κοιτάζουν τό θερμόμετρο νά δούν τί ρούχα νά φορέσουν. Κι όλοι ξέρουν
ότι χρειάζεται συχνότερη απόψυξη τού μεγάλου ψυγείου γιά να
διατηρούνται
τό φρέσκο βούτυρο, τά φρούτα, οι λέξεις καί τά τρία χρυσά χελιδόνια.
Instinctive Reactions
They are thoughtful people with lots of experience. They keep silent.
There are others who hold in their hands a childish plastic toy or a flower
or a broken guitar or the old wall clock. Then others who
hold a pair of pliers in such a way as though they want to pull out
your strongest teeth. But these as well as those every so often
look at the thermometer to see what clothes to wear. And they all
know they should defrost the fridge more often
to properly preserve
the fresh butter, the fruits and the three golden swallows.
