LUCK OF AN OLIVE TREE
Since many people do this,
I too decided to plant an olive tree
in a big pot in my patio;
it grew tall yet I’m anxious
to see whether I’ll be alive
when it’ll produce its first crop.
The world of course will still exist
and when I won’t see it anymore
I’ll keep an eye on its progress
I’ll still care for the fate
of my little olive tree.
