Behind the glass display window the empty store snow white –
snow white walls benches on the benches
snow white egg cases with snow white eggs Only
a large black fly alone bouncing on the window glass
And you were almost convinced that the store owner
had recently died in the washroom
having in his pocket coins from the sales
of the last eggs – so much white unsold
so much white unwanted lonely and dazzling
