IV
Poet leading his path through
the laughter of the sunlit meadow,
attentively records events and
repeated sins which stain life’s
skin with boxed modern darkness
images floating in his inner eyes
the bird’s chirping travels
to the grove’s pandemonium
widely opening the doors
to the permanent beyond.
The young poet witnesses images
unfolding in divine sequence
just as in the chickadee’s song
beside the soft splash of the wave
the motion picture unravels like
the unripe sun just peeking from behind
the hill, like undressing a woman
in such an eloquent fashion. One by one
the garments, one by one, the images as
the wind pushes the left leaf
of the bluish window from the east
to the west when the young poet
witnesses strenuous misery.
