Fellowship
It’s there, I can’t change
with two big eyes behind the wave
to the side where the wind blows
following wings of birds
it’s there with two big eyes
has anyone ever changed?
What are you looking for? Your messages
reach the ship changed
your love becomes hatred
your peace becomes tumult
and I can not turn back
to look at your faces on the shore.
They’re there, the big eyes
and when I remain steady on my route
and when the stars fall on the horizon
they are there tied on the void
like a fate more mine than mine.
Your words, habit of hearing
buzz amid the riggings and fade out
do I still believe in your existence
unfortunate comrades, imaginary shadows?
This world has lost its color
like seaweed on the shore of another time
gray, dry, and at the wind’s mercy.
A great pelagos, two eyes
swift and motionless like the wind
and my sails however long they may last, and my God.
