Reminders of Eros
If Eros has forsaken you
you will remember of it
soon as you glance nature:
the mountain slopes, the waves
the deciduous trees
that never doubt the seasons
the animals which as soon as
they are born they know how to live,
how to defend themselves against enemies
as nature has provided for them.
Careful though that your renewed memory
runs to the pile of your betrayed
expectations, your unrealized dreams.
