Rough Seas
“Your lips taste like the rough sea”, you said to me “I’ve read it somewhere and it suits you” and you looked into my eyes. “And you don’t know what hides in your eyes” you continued.
“Don’t believe them” I said to you, but you didn’t pay attention; you had leaned and kissing my neck you were lost between my hair and shoulders.
And kissing me I was lost in your kisses and your fast breathing.
“How unpredictable you are” you carried on, “I never know what to expect at the next corner with you.”
“For this reason remember to always stay in the middle of the road” I answered laughing. “Stay away from the corners.”
You didn’t find it funny at all.
You were right.
Besides, I didn’t say it as something funny even if I was smiling.
My eyes showed how serious I was. And you knew how to read them.
“I couldn’t hide from you; I never knew how to hide from anyone. I didn’t want to.” I said to you.
“You have to understand this, you have to.”
I bit my lips out of embarrassment and some nervousness; didn’t know what else to say.
I couldn’t say I was right or wrong.
I simply knew it was what it was and I couldn’t change it.
“You didn’t come yesterday.” I said.
I was sure of that.
You didn’t come.
You couldn’t endure not to see me!
You did right. Should you had come I couldn’t take it to be in the same room with you.
Thank you that you were strong and decided not to come.
I left and my eyes were clouded. Rough seas had overtaken my lips.
I returned home and cried, until I relaxed.
Next morning it was peaceful.
I looked at myself in the mirror and said good morning.
I got up to make coffee.
